Composition 1 tab. ciprofloxacin 500 mg Pharmacological action Antimicrobial agent of broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone. Has a bactericidal effect. Inhibits DNA-girazu and inhibits the synthesis of bacterial DNA. Is highly active against most gram-negative bacteria: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Haemophilus influenzae, Escherichia coli, Shigella spp., Salmonella spp., Neisseria meningitidis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae. To ciprofloxacin resistant Ureaplasma urealyticum, Clostridium difficile, Nocardia asteroides. Activity against Treponema pallidum has been insufficiently studied. Pharmacokinetics Rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The bioavailability after oral administration is 70%. Food intake has little effect on the absorption of ciprofloxacin. The plasma protein binding is 20-40%. Distributed in tissues and body fluids. Penetrates into the cerebrospinal fluid: the concentration of ciprofloxacin in neosalanx meninges reach 10% with inflammation - up to 37%. High concentrations are achieved in bile. Excreted in the urine and bile.
